Panda 2 - Improvements

Following the success of compaction testing relating to proprietary and recycled materials using the Panda 2 device, it has now been recognised as a useful and accurate means of retrieving performance results. Certain improvements have been made to enable operator to pre-set alarms and for the device to warn both through audible and visual signalling.
Recognition of the device's capability have been greatly enhanced by WRAP report on testing of recycled materials (available to download) along with LHAUC advice note 07/2 Procudures for the use of Cone Penetrometer.
The method is now increasingly used as a means of performance testing on backfill by local authorities, undertakers, and contractors alike.
